Exciting news for anime fans in India! Muse Asia has announced a special screening of the much-anticipated “Dandadan” anime in Mumbai on September 15. The screening will take place at PVR Maison, Jio World Drive, at 4:00 p.m. IST.

In addition to the Mumbai screening, the first episode of the anime will also be showcased at the Anime Times and WaConne AniFest’s Coscon event in Nagpur on September 8 at 11:00 a.m. IST.

What is Dandadan About

“Dandadan” is a unique blend of paranormal mystery, battle, and romantic comedy. The story revolves around two high school students, Ayase Momo and Takakura Ken, who hold conflicting beliefs: Momo is obsessed with ghosts, while Ken is a firm believer in aliens. In a playful bet, they set out to prove each other wrong by exploring designated locations to find evidence of UFOs and ghosts. To their surprise, they encounter inexplicable mysteries that change their lives forever. Along the way, they gain special powers and are thrust into a series of supernatural battles, while a budding romance unfolds.

Anime Release Details

The “Dandadan” anime is set to premiere in Japan on October 3 on TBS and MBS’s Super Animeism TURBO programming block. International fans can catch it on Netflix starting October 3 at 25:00 JST (which is effectively October 4 at 1:00 a.m. JST).

Kensuke Ushio (of “DEVILMAN crybaby” fame) is composing the music, while Naoyuki Onda (known for “Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway”) handles character design, and Yoshimichi Kameda (from “Mob Psycho 100”) designs the aliens and supernatural elements.

The series’ music features the opening theme “Otokone” by the hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts and the ending theme “TAIDADA” by ZUTOMAYO.
