Vin Diesel Shares Exciting Behind-the-Scenes Image

‘Riddick: Furya,’ the fourth installment in the Chronicles of Riddick series, is officially in production. Vin Diesel has excited fans by sharing a behind-the-scenes image from the upcoming movie. Taking to Instagram, Diesel uploaded a black-and-white photo of himself behind the wheel of a vehicle, with a camera operator seated in the passenger seat. Given that this is the second BTS image shared in under a week, it seems filming is progressing well.

The Return to Furya

The new film follows Diesel’s character, Richard B. Riddick, as he returns to his homeworld, Furya—a place he barely remembers. In this anticipated sequel, Riddick encounters several Furyans struggling to survive against a terrifying alien monster. Known for his monster-fighting skills, Riddick discovers unexpected connections with the Furyans he meets, adding depth to his character’s journey.

A History of Success

The Chronicles of Riddick series began in 2000 with ‘Pitch Black,’ written by David Twohy and Jim and Ken Wheat. It was followed by ‘The Chronicles of Riddick’ in 2004 and ‘Riddick’ in 2013. While ‘The Chronicles of Riddick’ was the highest-grossing film in the franchise, earning $115.8 million, ‘Riddick’ was also a commercial success, grossing $98.3 million against a $38 million budget. ‘Pitch Black’ earned $53.2 million.

Anticipation Builds

Fans eagerly await ‘Riddick: Furya.’ Filming began in August in Germany, Spain, and the U.K., with Diesel not only starring but also producing. While casting details remain scarce, Diesel’s previous co-stars included Jordi Mollà, Matt Nable, Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista, and Karl Urban.
